Some advice on
HOW TO PROPERLY TREAT A HEATING SYSTEM
in accordance with UNI CTI 8065 / 8364 / 8884

»

On new systems

1) Cleaning: before loading the system carefully wash the system until water is perfectly clean or better carry out a pickling cycle, i.e. removal of oxides and processing residues (oil, shavings, hemp residues, bad-quality paste, etc.) from metal surfaces. Always remember that new does not mean clean!

OPERATION   PRODUCT/EQUIPMENT RESULT
Washing POMPA DISIFLUX Circulator is preserved
Pickling FERRONEX (non-acid product) Surface oxides and impurities are dissolved

2) Protection: Protect the system against corrosion/frost according to the following table:

PRODUCT   RESULT PRODUCTS TO BE ADDED AND CHECKS
a) NO ANTIFREEZE PRODUCT System NON PROTECTED
against frost and corrosion
FILMAX + Thermakil®
Checks in accordance with
STANDARD 8065/89
b) ATIGEL 20% - 25% System PROTECTED against frost
but only partly against corrosion
FILMAX + Thermakil®
ANTIRUST
Checks in accordance with
STANDARD 8065/89
c) ATIGEL >30% System PROTECTED
against frost and corrosion
Checks in accordance with
STANDARD 8065/89

On old systems

1) Cleaning: on old systems (also if only partly: ex. new boiler, old pipes) even more so, carry out a pickling, i.e. the removal of oxides and of any existing mud; to this end we advise carrying out the following treatments:

PROBLEM PRODUCT
Sludge also mixed to weed ANTINEX + Thermakil®
Rust or incoherent black oxide (friable) ZINCONEX / ZINCONEX-AL + MAG-NEX HP (magnetic filter)
Weed and bacteria (e.g. floor systems or expansion vessels / open circuits) THERMAKIL® WEED CONTROL PRODUCT

2) Protection: Once the treatment has been carried out protect the systems against corrosion according to cases a), b) or c) above described.
